Benevolence

WTAMU Church of Christ Bible Chair

University is the overseeing congregation of the WTAMU Church of Christ Bible Chair. Established in the 1950's, the Bible Chair has ministered to WTAMU students for over 50 years. Director Bob Shepard places an emphasis on helping students discover where their individual spiritual talents lie and the development of leadership style and skills in a spiritual environment. Many former Bible Chair students now serve in their congregations as teachers, ministers, deacons, and elders, and in their own homes as more effective Christians thanks to the ministry that participated in at WTAMU.

Education Ministry

Hilltoppers

This ministry is lead by Don and Paralyn Moore and is directed toward members at University who are ages 55 and up. Hilltoppers meet on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. for a potluck meal, program, and recreation time. They also organize trips to various points of interest and support several ministries outside of the University congregation with their donations.

Ladies' Bible Class

Ladies' Bible Class meets on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. during the school year.

LifeGroups

LifeGroups are caring fellowship groups that meet in various places on the second Sunday night of each month. The purpose of LifeGroups is to help Christians get to know each ohter on a more intimate level and to provide friendship and support during the month between meetings. Please call the church office at 806-655-3952 to find your place in a LifeGroup.

The University congregation supports several mission efforts, both in the United States and in foreign countries.
